This morning the Waukegan Port District held a special meeting to address several critical items of business for the approach of spring. The Waukegan Yacht Club (WYC) license agreement was approved by majority vote of their board of directors on February 26.
The WYC will resume full responsibilities for utilities, maintenance, and security for the property beginning March 1, 2024.
What’s next?
The WYC board of directors will transfer utility accounts this week. In the next 10 days, we will inspect the premises and prepare the list of action items and priorities to return to safe operations. That list will be separated into actions for our voluteer committees which will coordinate schedules for volunteers, contractors, and donations needs.
