The Milwaukee to Waukegan Race is terribly short notice, but stubbornly set with the purpose of ensuring a path for its future in the coming years.
Whether or not you are able to enter the Aug 22 Milwaukee to Waukegan race you will find a warm welcome at South Shore Yacht Club.
When I wrote the persuasive message to our sail race organizers in 2018 that asked them to renew a WYC longstanding tradition of support for sail racing events in Wisconsin – not replacing Chicago events – adding to them, it focused on the FUN as much as the competition.
Sail Racing grows where the FUN is. WYC has a history of harmonizing and welcoming sail racers, and SSYC shares that mindset! When you visit with them, I believe you will notice a distinct feeling of familiarity.
If you can find the crew or if you will consider an option for short handed racing, SSYC is worth the trip!
