A new WYC Burgee is flying atop our flagpole today! It is my pleasure to thank a wonderful group of people who each took a turn in helping to produce it.
To begin, when last our large burgee was recreated, Paula Trigg used a tattered and retired flag to pattern a reproduction and it flew for nearly 18 months! Jan Bach used the pattern pieces to cut materials to produce two new flags. Heike Levinson (a WYCYF JuniorSAIL Level 1 Instructor) cut out the letters and then sewed together all of the materials for both flags while at Harbor Canvas. Finally, Joe Sullivan assembled the tooling in a press and installed grommets in both flags.
Please take time to thank each of these helpers when next you see them!
