After months of hard work (and more polish than a fleet of brass monkeys), our ad hoc trophy committee has finally finished cleaning and repairing WYC racing trophies.

Shining brightly, they reveal a gap – and we still have some “Making Up” to do.

We’re diving deep into the archives, and if you crossed a finish line in the last decade or so, your name could soon be gleaming on a legendary perpetual WYC trophy! We are collecting race records dating all the way back to 2012 (if you have race result archives to share, please email them to commodore@waukeganyachtclub.org)

Here’s the kicker: all identified past winners we engrave to catch up this year are invited to the Sail Racing Awards on November 15. Another chance to claim glory and swap stories, and we’re going to party like its 2012–like, we’re all a dozen years younger!
