Kenosha Port-to-Port Weekend 09/27-28/2025

LeMans start from the Bar at WYC – FIRST start 10:30 AM –  for sentimental reasons, we continue to call this “The Last Race Race” (even though we have races in October)

Duck Fun Day Highlights

Special thanks to our August 30 volunteers who tended bar, gave tours, managed safety on the east quay, and ran family games during our Open House. WYC gave out hundreds of rubber ducks, ducks on spring clips, and duck dress up items to children who participated in the “Duck Walk” game and held safe Swashbuckler’s Foam Sword Battles – with all participants wearing safety glasses!

Congratulations to participants in the Lighted Boat Parade held immediately following the acrobatic light and pyrotechnic show:

  • Larry Berliant’s Nighthawk received the “Coolest Duck” award for relentless competitive spirit
  • Brian Markey’s Osprey was selected by event cosponsors – American Place Casino to receive the “Release the Quacken” award for the best use of the Rubber Duck theme
  • Christian Olsen was recognized for “Flashy” decor and for excellent leadership and quick thinking to take a second and a much noisier lap for the rowdy crowd down the length of the east wall
  • Colin Palmer’s Magicool was recognized for quack reaction to join in the fun on short notice – having just returned from a cruise mere minutes before the scheduled start
  • Bronte Beaudoin captained our Race Committee boat Genevieve as the anchor participant with music rhythm lighting, complete with our WYC disco-ball and patiently managed the flow of participants from the water
